Someone said, why haven't you blogged about it?
Well, I don't know. (Maybe you can hear the ever-so-slightly whiny, defensive voice.) After all I'm not known for my natural reticence.
But if you are interested at all, the wonderful author Diana Athill and I were on BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour together talking about gender issues in care homes a couple of weeks ago. With an OBE (DA) and a DAME (Jenni Murray) in the room, my status as a mere Ms was definitely Lowly-Worm but I did my best to hold my own. What a strange expression that is. It was great to be part of it. And the researcher was very nice.
Diana and me (sic) had a nice time before in the Green Room - which was actually grey and daylight free - and if I hadn't been going in the opposite direction we'd have gone home together, - just for a cuppa, you understand.
Anyway, it's here (see 3 May).
